In order to create effective carousel and single image/video ads on Facebook, we generally recommend adding at least 4-5 headlines and 3-4 primary text descriptions.

Using different creative will allow Facebook to test these assets against each other to determine which assets are actually working best.

So Frankie when setting up Facebook ads
0:08
how many headlines descriptions and
0:10
images should you have in a Facebook ads
0:12
campaign generally that’s a good
0:14
question
0:15
um so you know it definitely depends on
0:18
the type of ad that you’re setting up
0:20
um rule of thumb I usually recommend
0:22
around four to five headlines to test
0:25
within one ad
0:26
um three to four different primary text
0:28
descriptions
0:29
and then that way what Facebook does
0:32
similar to Google search responsive
0:34
search ads is they’ll basically show
0:36
different headlines and descriptions
0:37
together and then after we get out of
0:40
that learning page you’ll be able to see
0:41
which headlines and descriptions are
0:43
performing the best and you can expand
0:44
your ad copy from there in terms of
0:47
creative if you’re running Carousel ads
0:49
I usually recommend between five to
0:51
eight Carousel images to test and again
0:53
you can put different headlines with
0:55
each of these Carousel cards different
0:57
primary texts with each of them so I
0:59
definitely recommend testing those the
1:01
more copy the more copy testing that you
1:03
do have the more data you’re going to
1:05
gather and see what’s actually
1:06
resonating with your audience when
1:09
running videos or single images you
1:11
really can only add in one graphic for
1:13
that ad but you can test the different
1:15
headlines and descriptions so again you
1:17
might just want to set up a few
1:19
different ad variations to test the
1:20
different single images and videos
